David Lynn “Crockett” Cox, 48, Glasgow, died suddenly Thursday, April 12, 2012, in Stockton, AZ. A native of Barren County, he was the son of Linda Walker Cox Melloan and the late Leslie Richard Cox. He was a truck driver for J. Stephens Construction in Tompkinsville and a member of the Siloam Baptist Church.

Survivors include his three children, Stephanie Cox of Louisville, Travis Cox of Glasgow, and Tessa Cox and her fiancée Josh Medley of Smiths Grove; his mother and step-father, Linda and Kenneth Melloan of Horse Cave; two sisters, Sherry Meador and husband, Lynn, of Cave City, and Crystal Peterie and husband, Brett, of Rockfield; special friend, Beth Hunt of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Vibbert Cox.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the New Salem Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

    aunt Linda, were praying for you and all the family, God says you will have comfort when you mourn and I thank him for that. it seems like yesterday we were sitting in Mammys living room playing with Davids gas powerd little car having the time of our lives and I know it wont be long until we will all be together again in Heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
