Patty and Family: Your dad was always “Mr. Pardue” when I was in school at Happy Valley, and over the years, even when he lived up the street from us, I never could call him “Bobby”… he was always Mr. Pardue! I thought so much of him! He was a very sweet man, he never failed to speak and he always asked me how my parents were doing whenever I would see him. I truly am sorry to hear of his passing, and I know you will miss him greatly! Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time!

  5. Terri Poland Elmore says:

Heaven has certainly received an angel now! Bobby was one of the sweetest and most caring men I have ever met. He loved all the kids so much at Happy Valley and they in turn loved him back. I would see him at numerous places quite often, and he always made a point to ask how my dad Bob and daughters,(Lindsey and Whitney) were. He was truly an inspiration to all who knew him, and he will be missed greatly!

  6. Linda Polson Anderson says:

“Mr. Pardue” will always be remembered and missed by all who knew him. It’s been 30 years since I was a student at Happy Valley Elementary School, but he never failed to ask my parents about me (by name) every time he saw them, as I’ve been away from Glasgow since college. I was fortunate enough to see him this past September at my grandma’s visitation, and it amazed me how he remembered me from so long ago. He was always so quiet – and always smiling – at school, and was always there when we needed him. As an elementary school teacher myself now, I have the utmost respect for my school’s custodian because of the respect I’ve always had for the very kind and caring man, who will always be remembered so fondly as “Mr. Pardue”.

I will certainly miss his smile and kind words. I know his precious wife is happy now to be reunited with her husband, I knew her from way back also, since I am a Metcalfe Co person that attended MCHS. Mr. Bobby was a unique person that truly LOVED everyone especially Children and had the best memory of anyone I knew. I also worked in Glasgow School System for 35 years and saw him several times at the different school. He was ONE of the BEST in whatever he done, janitorial service, praising the Lord and making sure each Child and Adult felt Loved. His passing from this earthly home to His Heavenly Home is our loss and Heaven’s Gain. Family member, you will always have my prayers that God will be a comfort to each of you daily.God is good and never makes a mistake.Keep Jesus in your heart and lives and you will see Bobby again and never be apart again.

Always enjoyed working with Bobby when he would sub at GMS. He was always the kind of person who always did more than he was asked to do. He always went that extra mile and you could not have asked for a nicer person to work with. May God be with this family to help them thru this difficult time.

  9. Jim Bob Clement says:

I’ve known Bobby and his family since I was a child and can say it has been nothing but an honor to know such a kind, intelligent, hard-working man and a wonderful family. It was always good to see him and that smile of his no matter where we would bump into each other at.

Donna and Patty, I’m so sorry for your loss. God bless you and be with you two and the rest of the family,

    Jim Bob

Though you cannot always see the bird singing, if you listen with your heart,
you can always hear his song. Though the ones we love may leave life, as
we know it, In our memory, the love we knew will always carry on.
    God bless you Bobby.
