Lois Estes Houchens

August 1, 1935     ~     January 13, 2012

Thelma Lois Estes Houchens, 76, Glasgow, died Friday, January 13, 2012, at the Barren County Health Care Center. A native of Metcalfe County, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Rhoda Shaw Richardson. She was a retired nursing assistant, having worked at the Howard Clinic and in the medical offices of Dr. S. J. Reddy. She was a member of the South Green Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include her two sons, Bruce Estes (Bonnie) of Glasgow and Russell Estes (Becky) of New Albany, IN; two granddaughters, Brittney Estes and Courtney Estes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, Tommy Estes and Earl Turner Houchens, and her two brothers, Lynn Richardson and Roger Richardson.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Randolph. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
