Reva Ruth Flowers, 95, formerly of Glasgow, died Wednesday, January 19, 2011, in Gamaliel. A native of Monroe County, she was a daughter of the late Clay and Lula Mae Turner Burks. She was a retired clerk at Newberry’s in Glasgow and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Helen Isenberg and husband, Truman, of Gamaliel; five grandchildren, Jimmy (Jolene) Isenberg of Glasgow, Diane Copass of Gamaliel, Linda (Freddie) Hunt of Tompkinsville, Tony Isenberg of Bowling Green, and Marsha Reynolds of Cordova, TN; 7 great-grandchildren, Jennifer (Paul) Shoemake, James (Danielle) Isenberg, Julia (Brandon) Pitcock, Jonathan Isenberg, Lyndsey (Jason) Davis, Jessica Hunt and Matthew Hunt; 2 sisters, Maurice Elmore of Glasgow and Jean Burks of Bowling Green; 5 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Hester Soards and Gilbert Flowers; and by four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

    We loved Mrs. Flowers and enjoyed going to church with her, She was always such a sweet person to be around. My mother Annie Veach also knew her and her husband.
