Joel Wayne “Pud” Read, II, 31, of Glasgow died Saturday, October 10, 2009. He is the son of Rita Wheat Read and the late Joel Wayne Read. He attended the Coral Hill Church of God.

Besides his mother his is survived by one son: Kirby Tate Read; two brothers: Josh Read and his wife Audra and Jacob Read and his wife Nikita; one sister: Jamie Fancher and her husband Larry; Maternal Grandfather: Bubby Wheat; Maternal Grandmother: Dixie Younkin and her husband Jack; Special Aunt: Amanda Garmon and her husband Keith; Several Aunts, Uncles and a host of other family and friends.

Besides his father he was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather: Kempton Read; Paternal Grandmother: Neil Harrison Read and his Paternal Step-Grandmother: Faye Smith Read

Funeral will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with Bro. Leon Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

    No words can change any of this, but I just wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I lost one of my sons and a nephew in an auto accident 17 years ago and it is the most heart wrenching thing that can happen to a parent ( the loss of a child). Felicia is my neice and she will be missed too. Once again I am so sorry.
