Mary Bessie Anderson Riley, 87, Glasgow, died Thursday, August 16, 2007, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. The Cumberland County native was the daughter of the late Tom Jeff and Lizzie Anderson.  She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving are a son, Leonard Kenneth Riley (Marie) of Paducah; a daughter, Anna Christine Mutter (Danny) of Glasgow; five grandchildren, Phillip Anthony Riley (Shonda) and Kenneth Allen Riley of Paducah, Lori Ann Mutter, Michael David Mutter (Sue) and Emily Beth Mutter, all of Glasgow; one great-grandchild, Jordan Dane Daniel of Glasgow; a sister-in-law, Mary Etta Rigsby (Dillard) of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, the late Leonard Rance Riley; a daughter, Helen Marie Riley, a grandson, Michael David Riley; five sisters, Gladys Norris, Venise Riley, Vennie Dyer, Purnie Jennings, Jessie Felty Murray; one brother, Bedford Anderson.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 19, 2007, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
