Nina P. Ballard, 81, Glasgow, died Friday, October 21, 2005, at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.  A native of Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Martha Branham Vibbert, a homemaker and a member of the Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Rev. Martin Ballard; 11 children, Mattie Wilkerson of Horse Cave, Teddy Ballard and wife, Lou Ella, and Richard Ballard and wife, Sharon, of Glasgow, Johnny Ballard and wife, Georgina, of Horse Cave, Amos Ballard and wife, Meg, of Allen County, Martha Coomer and husband, Danny, and Zeba Thomas of Cave City, Leonard Ballard and wife, Genene, of Glasgow, Brenda Vincent and husband, Greg, of Horse Cave, Joe Ballard and wife, Sherry, of Glasgow, Luke Ballard and wife, Jennifer, of Lexington; five brothers, J. T. Vibbert and wife, Joy, Ralph Vibbert and wife, Susan, Paul Vibbert and wife, Helen, all of Glasgow, Ray Vibbert and wife, Joyce, of Shelbyville, Melvin Vibbert and wife, Dale, of Tennessee; one sister, Myrtle Morgan of Glasgow; 56 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three children, Frank Henry Ballard, Fannie Lee and Freda Lou Ballard; and one brother, Jake Vibbert.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2005, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Locust Grove Cemetery.  Friends may call after 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
