Philip Edward Gassaway, 64 of Valley Station , Kentucky died Friday, June 4 2004 at this home. Mr. Gassaway was a owner operator truck driver, an Army veteran and a member of Miles Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife Betty; one son: Gregory and his wife Genia Gassaway of Shepardsville; one daughter: Buffy and her husband Shad Daubard of Shepardsville; his mother: Alene Gassaway of Knob Lick; one sister: Frances and her husband Thomas Royce of Knob Lick; one brother: Wayne Gassaway of Smithville Tennessee; three grandchildren: Alexandria, Dalton and Morgan; two nieces: Connie McCoy and Leisa Shirley; one nephew: Kelly Gassaway.

He was preceded in death by his father: Harry Gassaway and one grandson Alexander Gassaway.

Graveside services will be 12:00 noon Monday, June 7 at the New Liberty Cemetery . Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the Hardy Funeral in Louisville , KY. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
