Memorial Graveside Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2004, at the Good Springs Cemetery in Mammoth Cave.  Military Honors will be provided by Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV.

Russell M. “Rusty” Drake, Jr., 40, Berry Store Road , Glasgow , died Saturday, May 15, 2004 , at his residence. A native of Winchester , Virginia , he was a son of Mary Lee Baker Jones of Winchester and the late Russell M. Drake. He was fleet manager and park mechanic at Mammoth Cave National Park . He was an avid Boy Scout Leader, serving as Assistant Scout Master of Troop 605, a member of the Handyman’s Club, a Gulf War Veteran and a member of the Temple Hill Baptist Church .

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Jean Drake; one son, Alexander Glen Drake at home; his mother, Mary Lee Jones of Virginia; two brothers, Dennis Horn of Virginia and Michael Drake of Florida; one sister, Kellie Drake of Kansas; his step-mother, Edna Drake of Belfry, KY.; several nieces and nephews.

Rusty donated his body to Science Care of Phoenix, AZ. Memorial Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2004, at the Mammoth Cave National Park Amphitheater under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Boy Scout Troop 605 or to the National Park Service Employee Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.
