Sonda Henna Martin, 55, Dripping Springs Road, Smiths Grove, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2002, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. A native of Monroe County, she was a daughter of the late Alex and Nola Chism Guffey and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Martin; two sons, Ricky Martin and his wife, Patty, and Timmy Joe Martin all of Park City; one daughter, Teresa Bartley and her husband, Mark, of Park City; five grandchildren, Tabatha, Alicia, Eric, Megan and Andi; four sisters, Naomi Fisher of Glasgow, Viginia Guffey of Cave City, Linda Childress of Cub Run and Mary Scott of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Morris Guffey and James Guffey.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the family cemetery on the farm. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
