Donna Sue Huffines Mayes

Donna Sue Huffines Mayes, 69, of Glasgow, died Monday, September 15, 2014 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Lester V. and Nancy Virginia Bower Huffines.
She is survived by three children: Eddie Mayes, Angela Mayes and Ginny Cowles; five grandchildren: Jordan Mayes (Elizabeth), Ashleigh Huntsman (Jason), Scott Wilson, Gabriel Cowles and Kiera Mayes; two great-grandchildren: Macray Mayes and Cora Huntsman; two brothers; Steve Huffines (Sue) and Alan Huffines (Rufina); one sister: Nancy Conlee (Ronnie); several nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Norman E. Mayes, Sr. and two brothers: Orville Huffines and Jerry Huffines.
Funeral will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home and after 11:00 A.M. Thursday.
Sorry for your loss, i have some of my best childhood memories when i came to visit. You will be greatly missed. Love you all.
I always enjoyed seeing Ms. Donna at church. She loved her grand kids and made the most out of the time God gave her to spend with them. I’m sorry for your lose and she will be missed. May God”s grace be upon each of you!
