Bobby Landrum Poland, 78, of Glasgow, went Home to meet his Heavenly Father, February, 14, 2014 at his residence. He was the son of the late Stanley Sheridan Poland and Nina Valeen Newport Poland from Tompkinsville, KY. Bob retired from General Telephone after 31 years of service, and was a retired bus driver from the Glasgow Independent School System after 21 years. He was an avid sports fan and was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals. He also enjoyed helping and coaching with the Glasgow Little League program, but most of all, loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife: Mary Ann Poland; four children: Terri Elmore, Jeff Poland and his wife Sherry, Jerry Poland, Tammie Workman and her husband Jeff; seven grandchildren: Lindsey Elmore, Whitney Elmore, Scout Thompson, Drake Poland, Chloe Poland, Jackson Poland, and Blade Workman.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother: Bill Poland.

Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saving Smiles, University of Louisville, 501 S. Preston Street Louisville, KY 40206.  Saving Smiles is the organization that supports his granddaughters dental missions.
