Thomas Penn Edmunds

Thomas Penn Edmunds, 83, Glasgow, died Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. A native of Barren County, he was a son of the late Leonard and Maude Emerson Edmunds. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Beckton Church of Christ.

Survivors include one daughter: Darlene Lawson of Glasgow; three grandsons: Rodger Lawson, Jr. and wife Hilarie of Mayfield, KY, Bradley Lawson, and Brent Lawson and wife Charity all of Glasgow; five great-grandchildren: Mallory, Isabella, Sophie, Annie, and Kymber; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Ruth Bowles Edmunds; five brothers: Walter, Charles, Judd, John, and Henry Donald Edmunds; and four sisters: Sally Byrd Atkinson, Flora May Edmunds, Ada Mildred Buckingham, and Betsy Jean Garrett.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. There will be no visitation prior to the service. Arrangements entrusted to the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
