Mary Elizabeth Byrd

Mary Elizabeth Byrd, 81, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, February 02, 2011 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born in Glasgow, Kentucky March 23, 1929 to the late John and Janie Ellis Dean. She was a member of the Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by one daughter: Judith Ann Meadows; five grandchildren: Kevin Reid Pickett and his wife Shannon, Brian Thomas Meadows and his wife Ginny, Tommy Meadows, Debby Blankenship and Sonia Dile; four great-grandchildren: Kyle Picket, Mary Rachel Pickett, Abigale Meadows and Amelia Meadows; several nieces and nephews and one special niece: Margie Reed.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Leon Byrd, two sisters: Ruth Wilson and Agnes Vance; three brothers: Jack Dean, Jim Dean and Grover Dean.
Funeral will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with Bro. Freddy Norris officiating. Burial will be in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association.

Tommy and I are so sorry to here about the loss of your Mother. You were so good to her and I know she treasured you. I know you will miss her dearly. I can truly say I know what you are going through. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
