Norma Jean Kerley, 80, Glasgow, died Thursday, November 13, 2008, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital.  A native of Adair County, she was a daughter of the late Emmit and Ann Lizzie Judd Coomer.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Basil Chapel United Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, James T. Kerley; her children, Shelia Mizell (Roger), Mark Kerley (Kim) and Stacy Wyatt (Mark); six grandchildren, Justin Shelton, Jessica Shelton, Spencer Kerley, Stuart Kerley, Kaitlyn Wyatt and Kelton Wyatt; two step-grandchildren, Derek Mizell (Amber) and Lance Mizell; one sister, Aline Smith (Raymond); five brothers, Cortez Coomer (Olene), C.G. Coomer (Donna), Carter Coomer (Glenna), Douglas Coomer (Betty Faye), and Harold Coomer (Shirley; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Kerley; several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, R. D. Kerley.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association.
