Della Simpson Vincent, 88, Glasgow, went home to be with Jesus on  September 27, 2007.  Born in Cumberland County on September 5, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Logan and Ellen Simpson.  She was a member of the House of Prayer Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Diane Garmon and husband, Arvest of Knob Lick, Shirley Deckard and husband, Roy of Glasgow, Donna Clark and husband, John, of Bowling Green, and Wanda Tyler and husband, John, of Binghampton, NY; four sons, Gary Vincent and wife Judy of Austin, Wayne Vincent and wife, Wanda of Glasgow, Joe Vincent and wife Darlene of Hiseville, and Melvin Vincent and wife, Jo of Glasgow; two sisters, Flossie Huddleston of Tennessee and Madie Stiger of Arizona; 22 grandchildren, Steve, Trevor, Greg, Krista, Amanda, Becky, Crissy, Patrick, Joann, Michelle, Kim, Chad, Johnny, Robert, Ronnie, Carla, Teresa, Tammy, Doug, Ricky, Lynn and Connie; 35 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Vincent; a daughter, Letha Byrd; three brothers, Leo, Winton and Bill Simpson.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2007, at the House of Prayer in Edmonton with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home and after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the church.
