Jewell White Jackman, 89, Cave City, died Monday April 23, 2007 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital.  She was a daughter of the late Beulah Lively and John Clarence Allen.  She was a homemaker, and a long time member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and was a member of the WMU.

Survivors include one son, Joe Jackman and his wife, Arlene, of Glasgow; one grandson, David Jackman and wife, April of Glasgow; six step-grandchildren, Jackie Wilkinson and husband, Steve, Jennifer Payne and husband, Jimmy, Chad Green and wife, Traci, Shannon Simmons, and Toy Medford and husband, Todd, all of Glasgow, Brian Green and wife, Julie, of Clarksville, TN; one great-grandchild, Jordan McKay Jackman; eleven step-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Mable Ford of Deland, FL, and Maxine Allen of Glasgow; special friend and caregiver, Becky Lile.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Jackman; two brothers, Stanley Allen and Henry Allen; five sisters, Bernice Crenshaw, Pearl Allen, Lolita Bulock, Elizabeth Allen and Annie Mae Jackman.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2007, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Friends may call after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
