Charles Edward “Eddie” Poynter, 43, Louisville, died Friday, March 24, 2006, at his residence.  A native of Barren County, he was a former employee of Clapp Oldsmobile in Louisville and a member of the Servant Valley United Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Faye and Charles Brown of Edmonton; one daughter, Ryan Nicole Hill of Indiana; one grandson, Elijah Hill of Indiana; his maternal grandmother, Gertrude Taylor of Glasgow; four step-sisters, Faye Bailey and Gena McMurrey of Edmonton, Janet Bailey of Greensburg and Tammy Jolly of Glasgow; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elvin Turner “Top” Poynter, and one step-brother, Wesley Brown.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2006, at the Servant Valley Baptist Church with burial in the Cave City Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home and after 11:00 a.m. Monday at the church.
