Elsie Earle Peden, 88, Lick Branch Road, Glasgow, died Tuesday, January 04, 2005, at the Glasgow Health & Rehabilitation Center.  Born July 9, 1916, in the Union Five Community of Barren County, she was a daughter of the late Ina M. Richey and Burl M. Peden, she was a retired farmer and homemaker and a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her caregivers, Buddy Bailey and Brenda Pierce of Glasgow; a special friend, Gladys Hunt of Glasgow; two first cousins; several second cousins, friends, neighbors and her extended family at Glasgow Health and Rehab Center.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lucy Frances Peden.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2004, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
