William Clinton Kessenger, 76, Oil City Road , Glasgow , died Sunday, August 22, 2004 , at his residence. The Barren County native was a businessman, a printer and a farmer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps. He served during WW II in the South Pacific.

He was the son of the late Virta Lee Adwell and Closky Lee Kessenger. His two sons, William Scott Kessenger and David Allen Kessenger, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his two daughters, Sharon Lee Kimbrough and her husband, William B. Kimbrough, and Mary Rebecca Bushong and her husband, Robert Bushong; four grandchildren, Scotty Danyell Londaon and her husband, Steve, Willie Albany, Travis Allen Kessenger and Dwight Clint Bushong; one great-grandson, Garrett Wade Kessenger; one half-sister, Judy Gale Jackson; one step-sister, Jean Gordon; one step-brother, James Robert Adwell; his cousin, Douglas Shank; and his companion, Anna Coats.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2004, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be with military honors.
