Robert Eldon Hogue, Sr., 89, Taylor Street , Glasgow , died Sunday, December 14, 2003 , at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital . A native ofBarren County , he was a son of the late Claude and Minnie Dossey Hogue. He had been self-employed for 62 years at Hogue Auto Service inGlasgow . He was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church ; a 50 year member of the Allen Lodge # 24 F. & A.M.; York Rite Bodies; Order of the Eastern Star # 257; Kosair Shrine and a veteran of WW II.

Survivors include his wife, Mae D. Hogue; one daughter, Elda Mae Simpson and her husband, David, of Homewood, IL; a daughter-in-law, Faye Kinslow and her husband, Steve, of Glasgow; five grandchildren, Robert Hogue, III and his wife, Jennifer, Amanda Simmons and her husband, Jason, all of Glasgow, Martha Mack and her husband, Joey, of Livingston, LA, Brian Simpson and Eric Simpson of California; five great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Dylan Simmons, Jamie and Allison Hogue and Dristan Mack; two sisters-in-law, Thelma Hogue of California and Wilma Hogue of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bob Hogue and three brothers, Paul Hogue, Hubert Hogue and Rumsey Hogue.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens with, military honors provided by Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV. Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Allen Lodge # 24 invites the public to join them for Masonic services at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
