Annie Lewis Chambers Elmore, 93, Glasgow, died Tuesday, November 12, 2002, at the Barren County Health Care Center.

Born September 22, 1909, in Cooktown, KY, she was the daughter of the late Noah and Susan Cook Chambers. She was the widow of the late Col. Milza Elmore, Auctioneer, a homemaker and a member of the Grider Memorial Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed cooking large meals for family and friendly gatherings.

Survivors include five children, Eddie Berry of Murfreesboro, Wilma Guffey, John Ray Elmore, Charles Elmore and Patricia Pickett, all of Glasgow; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, to whom she is affectionately known as “Granny”.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Caney Fork Cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
