Willowdean Hogue Evans Fonner, 78, formerly of Glasgow, died Sunday, February 19, 2023 at her residence in Gamaliel.  A native of Allen County, she was the daughter of the late Orville Hogue and Alline Smith Hogue Dillard.

Willowdean was a devout Christian who also loved bowling; going to any kind of ball game; and running the roads. She was a graduate of Western Kentucky University and spent most of her life teaching.

Survivors include three sons: David Evans and Tim Evans (Laura) all of Pittsburgh and John Evans of Kentucky; three grandchildren: Greyson Pulou, Forest Evans, and Sophia Evans; two sisters: Peggy Fuller and Betty Buss; her caregivers: Bonnie and Clay Cropper, Tabatha Eubank, Aaron Webb, and Ashley Durham; along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother James Hogue; and four sisters: Wanda Peavley, Josephine Poynter, Ann Raj, and Faye Kingery.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hopewell Cemetery in Allen County.  Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
