William Tate Wilkinson, 80, Glasgow, died Friday, May 28, 2010, at the Barren County Health Care Center. A native of Tremont, IL, he was a son of the late Orval Lester Wilkinson and Izora March Wilkinson. He was a retired employee of R. R. Donnelley & Son in Glasgow and was a photographer and the founder of Wilderness Studio. He was a former president of Scottie Band Parents and a former member of the Glenview Christian Church, where he served as Elder and Building Committee Chair. He was currently a member of the Cave City Christian Church, a ham radio operator, an avid reader and woodworker, and a Kentucky Colonel. He was a United States Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict, where he handled many of their photography needs.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; six children, Jena Pace of Glasgow, Lester Wilkinson and wife, Denise of Port Orange, FL, Steven Wilkinson, Lee Ann Birge and husband, Rodney, Gayle Wilkinson and Will Wilkinson II all of Glasgow; 9 grandchildren, Melissa White (Mark), Julie Simmons, Ashley Pace, Jeremy Wilkinson (Emily), Lesley Walker (Steven), Matthew Wilkinson, Coty Wilkinson, Haley Wilkinson and Cheyanne Birge; 8 great-grandchildren, Morgan White, Joshua Simmons, Katie Jo Simmons, Lucy Wilkinson, J. R. Floyd, Will Floyd, Hayden Walker and Tanner Livingston; one great-great-granddaughter, Alexis Tate-Lewis Waldridge; two brothers, Thomas Tate Wilkinson of Zephyrhills, FL, and Donald Robert Wilkinson (Chris) of Lafayette, IN.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Richard Pace and two great-grandsons, Samuel Tate White and Tyler Lewis White.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Military honors will be provided by Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to BRAWA or the American Diabetes Association .
