William Fred Shirley

William Fred Shirley, 80, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Friday, December 5, 2025 at NHC Health Care. He was a son of the late Curt and Laura Janes Shirley. He was a retired jailer of Barren County and a member of East Fork Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years: Jeaniene Hubbard Shirley; two brothers: Junior Shirley (Shirley) and Philip Shirley (Margaret); two sisters: Christine Bennett and Brenda Smith. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by six brothers: Elroy Shirley, Bobby Shirley, James Shirley, Earl Dunham Shirley, Charles Shirley and Paul David Shirley; two sisters: Dee Burris and Pauline Shirley.

Funeral will be 11:00 am Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday and after 8:00 am Thursday until time for services.
