William Mitchell “Wa-Wa” Delk, 83, Glasgow, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was a son of the late Elvin and Grace Mitchell Delk. He was retired science teacher after having taught for 34 years. He taught at Bowling Green High School and then at Glasgow High School. While at Glasgow, he also was a bus driver and high school tennis coach. He worked with the Glasgow Recreation Department and was active with the Weldon Tennis Tournament. He was a member of the Kentucky National Guard for a number of years and after retirement, he was a dispatcher for Glasgow Fire Department. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He was a wonderful Christian man and Dad; he dearly loved the Lord. He was ready to go to his heavenly home and will be missed by many.

He is survived by a loving son: Stephen Delk of Glasgow; a loving step-daughter: Wanda Daniel London and husband Tom of Glasgow; a brother: Ronnie Delk of Lake Wells, Florida; several nieces and nephews. He also had a special friend and prayer partner, Bro. Robby Ward of Uno.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Annie Hudson Delk, and a loving step-son, Nicky Daniel.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
