William L. Wiley

William L. Wiley, 73, Glasgow , died Thursday, November 4, 2004 , at Jewish Hospital in Louisville . Mr. Wiley was the 14 th recipient of the AbioCor artificial heart. A native of Barren County , he was a son of the late Walter and Martha Williams Wiley. He was a retired farmer and had been employed by National Brush and B. R. Retreads in Glasgow . He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the Peters Creek Baptist Church .
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Davis Wiley; one son, David Wiley and his wife, Kathy, of Glasgow; three grandchildren, William Chad Wiley of Glasgow, Kandice Adair and her husband, Chris, and Katie Wiley all of Bowling Green; two brothers, Denton Wiley and Lyron Wiley; two sisters, Inez Buster and Nell Thomason; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Wiley, and one sister, Ina Dyer.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 8, 2004, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 12 noon Sunday at the funeral home.
