William Kenneth Franklin, 90, of Glasgow, formerly of Knob Lick, KY went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, May 29, 2011. Kenneth was born in Metcalfe County on April 18, 1921, the son of the late Samuel Guy Franklin and Beulah Mae Marcum Franklin of Knob Lick. He was preceded in death by a brother who was just a few weeks old.
He is survived by his wife of 67 ½ years, LaVerne Pedigo Franklin of Glasgow; two daughters, Linda Martin and Elsie Shipley both of Glasgow; five grandchildren, Donna Jackson of Tennessee, Robert Martin (Stephanie) of Owensboro, Angela Martin of Glasgow, T. J. Garmon (Kim) of Owensboro, and Wayne Garmon (Shila) of Glasgow; thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
