William Forman Payne III, 81, Glasgow, died Sunday, September 27, 2009, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. The Barren County native was a son of the late William Forman Payne II and Nettie Barbour Payne. He was a retired machinist for Sherwin-Williams and Continental Can and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.
Survivors include his wife, Lera Nichols Payne; one son, Frank Payne and wife, Debra, of Dallas, TX; three daughters, Kay Wright and husband, Kim of Glasgow, Arnetta Miner and husband, James of Houston, and Billie Dance and husband, Greg of Mooresville, IN; one sister, Mary Bethel Robinette and husband, James, of Grand Rapids, MI; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Private services for the family was held at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with cremation following. Inurnment will be in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
