William A. Oakes, 81, Glasgow, died Sunday, October 18, 2015, at Kindred Healthcare in Louisville. He was a retired section chief for AT&T, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Speedway, IN.
Survivors include his wife Lorna; three children: Diane Oakes of Helena, MT, Theresa Oakes, and Mark Oakes both of Glasgow. He was preceded in death by one brother: James Oakes, and two sisters: Evelyn Perkins and Barbara Saxton.
Mr. Oakes chose cremation. A private graveside memorial service at Pink Ridge Cemetery is planned for the family. Arrangements entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
