Wendell Settles, 76, Scottsville, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville. A son of the late Grover and Myrtie Elmore Settles, he was a retired farm laborer and a member of the Corinth General Baptist Church.
Survivors include one sister, Betty Pedigo and husband, Arnold, of Scottsville; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, William Settles, Richard Settles and Wilson Settles; four sisters, Clarine Jackson, Bessie Dell Hale, Alice Marie Settles and Elizabeth Settles.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Settles Family Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
