W. T. Doyel, 73, Glasgow, died Sunday, November 29, 2009, at the Barren County Health Care Center. He was a son of the late Terry and Helen Lee Doyel, a former member of the 623 rd Kentucky National Guard, and a retired insurance agent for Commonwealth and Monumental Life Insurance Company with more than 30 years service. He was an avid supporter of the Glasgow Scottie Band and was a former president of the Scottie Band Parents. After his retirement, he was employed by Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
Survivors include one daughter, Terri Lou Royse and her husband, Henry, of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Wes Royse and Cara Lu Royse both of Glasgow, and Shane T. Michael Doyel of Brownsville; two brothers, Brad Doyel of Glasgow and Roger Doyel of Bowling Green; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Bell Minyard Doyel, and one son, Jerry A. Doyel.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
