Violet Ruth Settles

Violet Ruth Settles, 73, Railton, died Monday, August 23, 2004 , at the Medical Center at Bowling Green . A native of Barren County , she was a daughter of the late Lillian Elizabeth Carter and Luther Evis Nichols. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Erik Dieterich and his wife, Etta, of Glasgow ; one daughter, Valerie Dieterich of Railton; four grandchildren, Erika Dieterich, Erin Dieterich, Evie Dieterich and Emma Dieterich; two sisters, Aline Jones and Lera Payne both of Glasgow; two brothers, Cleo Nichols of Martinsville , IN , and Alta Nichols of Franklin ; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kenneth Settles; two sisters, Edna Bowles and Helen Keener and one brother, Marshall Nichols.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon Thursday, August 26, 2004 , at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Shiloh Cemetery . Friends may call after 12 noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
