Verda B. Gosnell
July 14, 1910 ~ July 10, 2003
Verda B. Gosnell, 92, Glasgow, died Thursday at the Glasgow Health and Rehabilitation Center. A native of Monroe County, she was a daughter of the late Marilda Jane Lane and Andrew Jackson Wisdom. The widow of the late Sam Gosnell, she was a homemaker and a member of the Antioch Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Margaret Clarine Wells and her husband, Donald Ray, of Glasgow; one daughter-in-law, Janet Gosnell of Glasgow; five grandchildren, Anita (Bob) Bushway of Virginia, Christie Darlene (Greg) England of Bon Ayr, Margaret (Bobby) Huffman of Tennessee, Kevin (Sharon) Wells of Hiseville and Beverly (Kenneth) Britton of Louisville; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Rex Gosnell.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Sunday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
