Velma E. (Bybee) Turner, 96, formerly of Columbus, OH, died Thursday, September 3, 2009, in Bowling Green, KY. She was the daughter of the late Garnett and Bessie Short Bybee and widow of the late Robert Turner.
She is survived by one sister-in-law, Marjorie Bybee of Glasgow; one nephew, Larry Bybee of Glasgow; three nieces, Dorothy (James) Gilmore and Phyllis McNeil of Indianapolis, IN and Sandra (Charles) Lewis of Bowling Green; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas D. Bybee; four nephews, Herman Armstrong, Nathaniel Bybee, Alvin Bybee and Nathan Bybee.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Pleasant Oak Ridge Church Cemetery. Visitation will be after 8:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
