Thomas Leroy Steen, 82, of Merry Oakes, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 at NHC Health Care. He was a son of the late Leroy Cecil and Martha Lou Withers Steen. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Sherla Frances Hester Steen. He was a veteran of the US Navy.
He is survived by his sister-in-law: Arlene Skaggs and her husband Ricky; one brother: Cecil Steen and his wife Sondra; two nephews: Andy Steen and his wife Christina and Nick Skaggs and his wife Keela; one niece: Angie Hughes and her husband Jeremie; three great-nieces and two great-nephews.
Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2020 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV will provide military honors at the cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
In keeping with the Governor’s recommendations for safety during funeral and memorial services, the number of attendees in the funeral home at any given time will be limited; no food permitted in the lounge; social distancing will be necessary; and face coverings are required.
