Thomas F. Basil, 13, left for his heavenly home on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. He was born in Norton’s Hospital on May 25, 2012 to his parents Elizabeth Quinn and Justin Basil.
Thomas was a student at Glasgow Middle School. He enjoyed gaming with his friends and family; playing guitar and trombone; making people laugh; but most of all, sharing his wonderful smile.
Survivors include his mother Elizabeth Quinn; his father Justin Basil (Jody); his twin sister, Lillyan Elizabeth Basil; two brothers: Matthew William Basil and Ammon Isaiah Basil; his beloved cat, Bisket; his paternal grandfather Rondal Basil; paternal grandmother Junetta Bennett (Tuck); three aunts: Christine Hunter (Rick), Brittany Coffey (J T), and Michelle Basil; two uncles: Christopher Quinn (Maggie) and Allen Quinn a.k.a. “Uncle”; thirteen cousins: Ellis, Max, Marek, Aiden, Waylon, Dillon, Chase, Paige, Leeann, Gracie, Jacob, Jazzy, and Kaleb.
Thomas was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Linda and Allen Quinn; and one uncle, Matthew Basil.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and continue Tuesday morning at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Boys and Girls Club of Glasgow-Barren County.
