Thelma M. Wells Hawkins, 91, of Glasgow died Monday, January 19, 2009 at NHC Health Care Facility. She was the daughter of the late Don Wells and Pearl Humphrey Wells. She was a member of the Rolling Hills Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: Bobby Hawkins and his wife Careen of Palmyra, IN., Harold Hawkins of Glasgow, Helen Plumlee and her husband Carlos of Glasgow, Ralph Hawkins and his wife Cathy, Roger Hawkins of Glasgow and Becky Davidson and her husband Gary; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; four brothers: Henry Wells of IN, James Wells of Glasgow, Howard Wells of Glasgow and Ray Wells of Glasgow; one sister: Marie Petrie of IN. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Hawkins; one son: Phillip Hawkins; one daughter: Annie Pearl Hawkins; one brother: Stanley Wells; one sister: Aline Elmore.
Funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Rolling Hills Baptist Church with Bro. Wayne Wilson, Bro. Wayne Well and Bro. Joseph Wyatt officiating. Burial will be in the Bon Ayr Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
