Teresa Leigh Barrett

     Born May 13, 1963, Teresa Leigh (Hudson) Barrett dreamed of being nothing more than a stay-at-home mother to her two children, Scarlett and Daniel, whom she shared with her husband and longtime partner, Steve.

     Perhaps the name she cherished most of all was Mammaw, or Mowmow, names lovingly gifted to her by her greatest treasures, her grandchildren, Haley, Natalie, Gracie, and Walker.

     Teresa left this world to join her Heavenly Father on September 26th, 2026 and was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Betty Grace Hudson; her sister, Linda; and her brother, Joe.

     She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Steve; her children, Scarlett and Daniel; honorary daughter, Katrina; her grandchildren, Haley, Natalie, Gracie, and Walker; her two great-grandsons, Briggs and Baylor; her six sisters, Brenda, Patricia, Cathy, Tonza, Shelia, and Sharon; many nieces and nephews; and the countless people whose lives she touched and who simply knew her as Mama T.

     Visitation will Tuesday, September 29, 2026 from 11:00am to 7:00pm at Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home with cremation to follow.
