Steven Craig Jones

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Steven Craig Jones on July 17, 2025 at the age of 60 after a nearly two year battle with esophageal cancer.

Steven was born in Memphis TN on March 14, 1965 residing most of his teenage and adult life in Sumner County TN which he considered home. Steven attended Hendersonville Senior High School and met the love of his life, his beloved wife of almost 30 years, Leslie Cooke Jones in 1996.

Steven was known for his love of the outdoors, including hunting, fishing and camping with friends and family. Steven was a humble individual who exemplified pure kindness and cherished life.

Steven worked many years as the facility maintenance supervisor with Ajax Turner in Nashville TN. Upon early retirement he and his wife relocated to Summer Shade KY.

Steven is preceded in death by his father Bob Jones and brother Robert Jones. Survived by wife Leslie Cooke Jones; mother Sarah Lawson; brothers: Ken Jones and Russell Jones; niece Cory Jones; and step-sons: James Piccone and Jonathan Piccone.

Steven's wish was to be cremated. A Celebration of Steven’s Life is going to be held at Alexander Funeral Home, 584 Nashville Pike, Gallatin TN 37066 on Saturday, July 26th from 11:00 to 12:00.
