Clarence Stanley Allen, 91, Glasgow, died Friday, March 30. 2007, in Glasgow. A native of Barren County, he was the son of the late John Clarence and Beulah Lively Allen. He was a farmer and a member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, where he also served as a deacon.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Mary Maxine Allen; one sister, Jewell Jackman of Glasgow; one son, Robert Allen and wife, Dianne of Glasgow; two grandchildren, James Allen and wife, Amy, and Alicia Allen and husband, Jeff, of Glasgow; two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Bernice Crenshaw, Pearl Allen, Lolita Bulock, Elizabeth Allen and Annie Mae Jackman; and one brother, Henry Allen.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 1, 2007, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
