Shirley Jean Pitcock, 70, Glasgow, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at the Hart County Health Care Center. A native of Barren County, she was the daughter of the late Cleo Thompson Pitcock and Agnes Lorraine Croft Pitcock.
Shirley graduated from Metcalfe County High School and spent most of her adult life in the Big Meadow Community. She was a former line worker at Sorensen’s and later Dana. She was a member of the South Green Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include one sister-in-law Barbara Pitcock Witty of Radcliff; two nieces: Heather Key (Tim) of Lafayette, TN and Amanda Gringle (Robbie) of Cecilia, KY; one nephew, Stephen Pitcock (Dawn) of Bowling Green; seven great-nieces and great-nephews; five great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother David Glen Pitcock.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2022 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Friday December 30 at the funeral home.
