Shelia Darlene Davis Forrest, Cave City, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington. The Barren County native was a daughter of the late Lonnie Edgar Davis and Minnie Gaye Bowles Davis. She was formerly a binder at R R Donnelley & Sons and was a member of the Trinity Church of the Nazarene.

Shelia love to crochet, work jigsaw puzzles, make jewelry, and work many other crafts. She was an honorary “Moma Shelia” and “Nanny” to many special friends.

Survivors include one daughter April Tinnee Turner; three grandsons: Jaxson Forrest Ray Turner, Ayden Forrest, and William Roberts; one brother Dewayne Davis (Tonja); two sisters: Kimberly Bowles (Steven) and Twona Gaunt (Barry); her mother-in-law Patsy Forrest; a brother-in-law Gary Forrest (Janet); along with several nieces, nephews, and close friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Barry Douglas Forrest; one brother Tim Davis and his wife Sherri; and her father-in-law Wendell Forrest.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 pm Tuesday and after 7 am Wednesday at the funeral home.

In keeping with the Governor’s requirements for funeral and memorial services, the number of attendees in the funeral home at any given time will be limited; no food permitted in the lounge; social distancing will be necessary; and face coverings are recommended. You may listen to the service while in our parking lot by tuning your radio to FM 89.1.
