Samuel J. Harper, 79, Glasgow, died Friday, March 31, 2006, at the NHC Health Care Center. A son of the late Clem and Connie Harper, he was a retired supervisor at Glasgow Street Department and a part-time employee of the Glasgow Landfill.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ann Renfro Harper; one daughter, Darlene Eudy and husband, Albert, of Cave City; two sons, Mark Fisher of Port Orange, FL, and Joey Fisher of Glasgow; six grandchildren, Scotty Eudy, Jason Fisher, Chad Fisher, Luke Fisher, Christina Vanmeter and Felicia Fisher; six great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Eudy, Quinton Eudy, Allijah Eudy, Natalie Toohey, Parker Lee Roarx and Kayleigh Grace Vanmeter; one sister, Blanche Bragg of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Katie Deckard and Cora Sexton.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2006, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Coral Hill Church of God Building Fund.
