Ruth Ann Spann

Ruth Ann Davis Spann went home to be with Jesus on August 6, 2026 at the age of 85. Born April 9, 1941 in Glasgow Kentucky she was a daughter of the late Warren W. Davis and Phoebe Coleman Davis. She was attending Highland Hills Community Church.

She is survived by two sons: Ricky (Melissa) Spann and Terry (Shiena) Spann; seven grandchildren: Alissa (Darien) Byrd, Robert (Julie) Spann, Cody Spann, Dakota (Kayla) Spann, Trenton Spann, Russell (Jessica) Bush and Dalton Bush; one sister: Barbara Sue Simmons; 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Howard Spann Jr. (Bobby); seven sisters: Bessie Chapman, Eva Scott, Jean Frazier Mildred Jones, Marien Goode, Dorothy Houchens and Shirley May Davis; three brothers: Rascoe Davis, Warren Davis and Joe Davis.

Funeral will be 11:00 a. m. Thursday, August 13, 2026 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time for services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
