Ruby Compton Ward, 85, Hiseville, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013, at the Glasgow Health & Rehab Center. A native of Adair County, she was a daughter of the late Johnny and Minnie McCauley. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hillside Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons: David Compton and his wife Judy of Hiseville, and Danny Compton and his wife Deborah of Burkesville; one granddaughter: Jackie Clark and husband Julius of Hiseville; two great-grandchildren: Azerella and Julius Clark, Jr.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands: Herman L. Compton and Herman Ward.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
