Roy Lee Jackson
October 5, 1926 ~ April 16, 2004
Roy Lee Jackson, 77, Glasgow , died Friday, April 16, 2004 , at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital . A native of Barren County , he was a son of the late Maude Copass and William Elzie Jackson. He was a retired farmer, a retired Deputy Jailer with the Barren County Jailer’s Office for 15 years and a member of the Faith United Methodist Church for 40 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eddie June Gill Jackson , on February 27, 2004.
Survivors include four children, Billy Jackson and his wife, Vickie, Eddie Carroll Jackson and his wife, Janet, Linda Stephenson and her husband, Archie, Tabitha Jackson and her friend, Timmy Glass, all of Glasgow; two grandchildren, Jeremy Jackson, currently in Iraq, and Robin Garmon; two great-grandchildren, Dakotah Jackson and Matthew Garmon; one brother, Joe Jackson of Glasgow; his mother-in-law, Sarah Eliza Gill Boyd of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Jackson and James David Jackson; five brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2004, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 12 noon Sunday at the funeral home.
