Rita G. Barone, 57, Glasgow, died Friday, February 17, 2023 at her residence. A native of Jefferson County, she was the daughter of the late Glendon and Mildred Jessie Houk. She was formerly a warehouse worker at VanGard Labs in Glasgow.
Survivors include four children: Jesse Keeton (Jessica), Felicia Hunter, Linda Mann (Charles), and James Keeton all of Glasgow; five grandchildren: Sarah Malone, Cynthia Keeton, Xavier Griffith, Roy Andrew Keeton, and Matilda Keeton; a bonus grandchild, Olivia Sims; one brother: Timothy Houk; two sisters: Patricia Beauchamp (Jason) and Michelle Byrd (Kevin); several nieces and nephews.
The family is honoring Rita’s wish to be cremated. A Celebration of her Life will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2023 at the Lera B. Mitchell Clubhouse. Arrangements entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
