Ricky Alan Morgan, age 63, entered heaven on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, surrounded by his family at his residence. Ricky was born in Glasgow on February 10, 1963 to the late Ray Morgan and Margaret Ward Morgan.
Ricky gave his life to the Lord on May 7th, 2026. In his spare time, he enjoyed tearing down old appliances and collecting coke cans. He loved raising a garden to give vegetables to anyone, especially the girls in the Glasgow Water Company office. He also would go just about every Saturday to the Dollar Store and Save-A-Lot to buy Little Debbie cakes, as well as buying bacon biscuits, to give to them; oh, the smiles on their faces!
Ricky had a number of jobs through the years. He delivered newspapers; helped out at Devasher’s Car Lot; worked at Homewood Nursing Home; and worked at Goodman Candy Company; all before being employed at the Glasgow Water Company where he worked for 19 years. He had to take early retirement on February 21, 2025 due to health issues when he was diagnosed with cancer. Ricky loved his job and even though he was retired, he still wanted to work and would often help other employees find water meters when they had difficulty locating them. His cancer never stopped him from doing anything until another one appeared on April 3, 2026. His goal was to go back to work; so he is now working in heaven and walking those streets of gold.
Survivors include a son, Jeremy Morgan of Louisville; two brothers: Steve Morgan and Gary Morgan both of Glasgow; three sisters: Linda Riddle (David), Ann Russell (James), and Lois Bulle all of Glasgow; a special friend, Sharon Hart; along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
