Pauletta Lynn Casteel

Pauletta Lynn Casteel, 59, Smiths Grove, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at her residence. A native of Barren County, she was the daughter of the late Roger Paul Walden and Lois Jean Vibbert Poynter. She was a homemaker who loved doing various crafts and watching hummingbirds (from a distance).

Survivors include her loving husband of 36 years Eddie Casteel; four children: Erica Phalen (partner Greg), Constance Webster, Kenneth Harper III (fiancée Kayla), and Jessica Smith (Shawn) all of Glasgow; two sisters: Ann Craine (Ronnie) of Park City and Donna Birge (Kevin) of Temple Hill; one brother, Dale Poynter (Georgia) of Indiana; twenty-one grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Ronnie Walden and Donnie Walden; both maternal and paternal grandparents; several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Poplar Log Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help offset expenses.
